Current Exhibition
In our main gallery, we are proud to present Ash & Echoes, a hauntingly beautiful black and white film series by photographer Elias Thorne. This body of work serves as a visceral meditation on the devastating wildfires that swept through the high-altitude forests of the West, capturing the skeletal remains of ancient pines against a backdrop of swirling smoke and stark, high-contrast skies. Thorne’s mastery of the silver gelatin process is on full display here; the deep, charcoal blacks of charred bark lean into the grain of the film, creating a texture so tactile you can almost smell the soot. By stripping away the distraction of color, the exhibition forces a confrontation with the raw geometry of destruction, transforming a scarred landscape into a series of abstract, silver-toned monuments to what was lost.
